The ACN Constitution

1. Name

The official name of the ministry shall be: AFRICA CHRISTIAN NETWORK, referred to in this document as “ACN” or “the Ministry”.

2. Name

3. The Purpose

a. For the glory of God, and in obedience to the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ

​b. ACN shall seek to encourage co-operation between its members and affiliates to make disciples of the nations

​c. Teaching obedience to all things that the Lord has commanded.

4. Ministries

ACN is to fulfil its purpose through the following ministries:

  • a. Christian Action magazine
  • b. Biblical Worldview Seminars and Summits
  • c. God and Government Seminars and Reformation Conferences
  • d. Deputations to government officials
  • e. Press statements and letters to media
  • f. Church services, rallies, public meetings and prayer vigils
  • g. Radio ministry
  • h. Publications and books
  • i. Prayer
  • j. Projects
  • k. Websites and Internet platforms, social media and E-Mailings.

5. Composition

a. There are two categories of members: Affiliate Members and Full Members. If the Committee approves your application, you will become an Affiliate Member.

​b. Once your ministry or church has been a member for more than two years and has sent representatives to one of our conferences (such as the Biblical Worldview Summit), you could then qualify for Full Membership status.

6. Changes

a. No changes may be made to the Constitution without the written agreement of the Chairman, Director and leaders of each member organisation.

b. Any policy changes need to be by consensus (80%) of the executive committee.

7. Affiliations

ACN is affiliated with:

 a. Frontline Fellowship

  • b. Coalition on Revival
  • c. William Carey Bible Institute
  • d. The Reformation Society
  • e. International Church Council Project
  • f. Literature for Africa
  • g. Livingstone Fellowship
  • h. Gospel Defence League.

8. Policy

a. ACN is an interdenominational Christian ministry of Bible believing evangelical believers.

​b. ACN holds to the historic Reformed Faith in the Bible as the inspired, inerrant and infallible Word of God.

​c. ACN accepts as its Basis of Faith the Nicene Creed.

​d. ACN endorses:

  • i. The KwaSizabantu Affirmation – 1991
  • ii. The Christianity and Religious Freedom document
  • iii. The Cape Town Declaration of Freedom
  • iv. The Christian Voice Memorandum of 1995
  • v. The Franschhoek Declaration of 2007
  • vi. The 95 Theses for Reformation Today.

9. Finances

a. ACN shall be a non-profit Christian ministry relying upon the faithfulness of God to supply every need through the freewill giving of God’s people. And through its members faithful support.

​b. To cover postage, printing costs and to make possible complimentary subscriptions, Christian Action may charge subscription rates or offer Christian Action magazines on a donation basis.

​c. Accurate records must be kept of all income and expenditure.

10. Membership

a. Membership of ACN is open to: Bible believing Churches and ministries of good standing who support the aims and objectives of ACN, and which formally apply in writing.

​b. Applications for membership are to be accepted by the Director and Chairman of ACN in consultation together.

​c. Membership may be terminated if a member violates the constitutional principles of ACN or upon the written resignation of a member.
